New website for tennisclub
2006 at 09:53 PM Rene Kleizen
Because I loved working with Expression Engine on my onw site, I decided to design a new website for my tennisclub, Tie-Break.
I started with designing a layout in plain HTML, combined with CSS.
My goal was to make a fresh and clean looking website, because the other was a bit boring. So I started with some fresh looking colors, like orange, blue en yellow.
I created 3 articles on top of the page, one left, one right and one below on full of the width. Below there I tried to make some quick reference to topics that are used a lot.
At last I tried to make a nice looking menu, because the tennisclub had a lot of items.
Here u can see an image of the old site:
And here an image of the new one:

Hi Rene! I just loved your blog!
Congrats! I’m planning to use EE in the future. I currently use typepad but I’m still learning CSS & XHTML. Do you think it would be hard for me to customize a blog using EE without too much knowledge of CSS? Greeting from Brazil, Erika

@Erika:
Thanks for loving my blog
I don’t think it is to hard to customize a blog using EE. There is a great forum at the EE site, with people who like to help you with problems. This blog was my first EE experience to. Reading from books like “CSS Mastery” will help you a lot with CSS. Ofcourse you can always ask me for something. You can download a free version (the Core version) of EE, to take a look if you like EE. Goodluck!
